TWD - Raspberry-Lime Crumb Cake

This is the kind of cake you want to wake up to on a Sunday morning. You want to slice off a piece and eat it right then and there, still warm, straight out of the pan, picking off chunks with your fingers, crumbs falling all over the place. And it's OK. Pair it with a steaming cup of coffee and you're ready to start your day.

This is the kind of cake that you don't mind eating leftovers of, warmed up slightly, with a huge scoop of your favorite vanilla ice cream, melting into the sweet, crunchy crumb. Sharing it makes it even tastier.

This is the kind of cake that you can't wait to make again with every kind of sweet, ripe, summer berry under the sun. Combined with orange, lemon or lime zest, you could have a different taste combination for just about any occasion.

Sihan of Befuddlement chose this versatile cake as this week's Tuesdays with Dorie recipe. Please visit her blog! And check out the rest of the TWD gang for further crumb cake inspiration. Then grab your mixer and bake a crumb cake!

I agree, it was so delicious warm, but then again, what isn't! Your pictures look really good. You can really tell how crunchy your top was.

Yours looks perfect, and yes, I would want to get up and have a slice of that also! I could not get mine to set in the middle...I will have to try it again, by the time it set, it was too brown. Seeing yours means I should try it again as yours looks gorgeous.

That looks delicious. Raspberries are my favorite. I wanted to do lime with my blackberries, but it turned out I didn't have any. Oops. =)

I was going to take that same shot of the pan of cake with a piece gone, but then I just kept picking and nibbling until half the darn cake was gone!
