I'm still here...

Yes, I am still here and I have been neglecting this poor little blog of mine and my dear readers (if I have any left)... It's not that I haven't been cooking, baking or taking any pictures, it's just that I never seem to get around to posting anything. Something always seems to get in the way. That's life for ya!

I hope to get around to posting some of the fantastic stuff I have waiting on my hard disk. Whoopie Pies, a delicious Pad Thai, preserved lemons, Pioneer Woman's Prune Cake, a variation on these Mango Muffins, Osso Bucco, Strawberry Scones and blue potato chips are all waiting for me to write up a post and give them their 15 minutes of fame. So, if you could, please let me know which of these you'd like to hear about first. That might just give me the incentive I need to get writing.

In the mean time, I leave you with a rerun and a few pics I took with my new lens, the 50mm f1.8 from Canon, also known as the Nifty Fifty. And as of now, I think I'm in love. :)

Love the bread photo, but what's not to love about the asparagus as well and then there is the wine. so about those pending posts? Inspiration is an interesting and tricky thing I have found with this blogging activity. It is supposed to be fun so sometimes you just have to find it. Other times you just need a rest. ya know? No worries....you'll find the fun.

I just watched an episode of Baking with Julia this morning where she baked beautiful looking French bread just like your photo with Danielle Forestier. It really made me want to bake some bread, but I have a chocolate project pending that takes precedence.

Sometimes life just happens and we have to go with the flow. When you have time, I'd love to read about your Osso Bucco as I made it recently and would be interested in your take on it. But go with YOUR flow! Great pics!

What great photos - have fun playing with your new lens!
I think the best reason to neglect a blog is because you are actually living life. Enjoy :)
