I have a bunch of really good reasons why I haven't been around much lately but I'll spare you the boring details. What I will tell you about is the chocolate pudding that Melissa from It's Melissa's Kitchen has chosen for this week's Tuesdays with Dorie.
First off, let me just say that although the recipe calls for a food processor, I don't have one and you don't need one to make this pudding. A whisk, a saucepan and a large bowl is pretty much all you need. What I love about this pudding is that it is so smooth and chocolatey.
There's not much else to say about it! If you've never tried homemade pudding before, you're missing out. You can find the recipe here, here or on page 383 of Baking from my Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan.

When it looks like that, very few words are necessary. I hope things settle down so you have more time in the blogosphere.
I love those white chocolate curls on top. Great presentation idea.
Look at those curls! Gorgeous.

Nice chocolate curls! And I am impressed you made it by hand...that is really from scratch. Great job!

I love your blue ramekins, such a pretty color and makes the pudding and white chocolate pop out! Great job!
lookit those super cute blue little cups with white chocolate curls. fabulous..!! this is def one of my fave Dorie recipes thus far--so adaptable!
I like your presentation! And I agree, this pudding can be made like a "normal" pudding, without any food processors, only hand operated tools are necessary

It was pretty darn fantastic! My FP is too small, so I just went with the whisk as well. Great looking pudding (and I love the blue cups!) Welcome back!
Yours looks wonderful and it's good to know you don't need the fancy equipment!
Mmmm. That looks really creamy and delicious.
Nice accent with the while chocolate!

The pictures look fabulous. I could go for some pudding right now.
Now THAT'S what chocolate pudding should look like! Not that suspicious greyish stuff in the supermarket aisle.
So you've been busy too eh? I'm sure you wouldn't bore us with the details. Isn't sumer FLYING by?
Hope you're busy making jam for my jam swap. :)
yours looks delicious! i love the white choc curls on top :)
it looks wonderful! i love the white chocolate shavings.
i'm sure that's better than any boxed pudding mix! looks fantastic, especially with those white chocolate shavings!
I'm with you, I don't use a processor for pudding either. A whisk does the job perfectly. And your pudding looks perfect.
I didn't use a food processor either! No need! yum! It looks delicious! Great job!

Your pudding looks delicious, and I am so glad to hear that I wasn't the only one who didn't use a food processor.
Gorgeous curls and truly delicious pudding!
Beautiful presentation. And it's good to know the pudding can be made just as good from scratch :)
good ol' chocolate pudding is hard to beat. i haven't made it from scratch, but i still remember my days of making the jello instant version. i was so proud. :)
Love the chocolate curls on top! Yummy! I used my food processor for most of it, but I agree a good whisk and a sturdy pan is all that is really needed.
I loooooooooooove the white chocolate shavings! They look so tasty!!!
I hope you were able to slow down long enough to enjoy your delicious looking pudding.
This is my favorite TWD! I could go at it with a spoon! :)
Great job on your chocolate pudding. I agree with everyone else, those curls are great! Look forward to seeing your post next week.
I love the white chocolate curls on top. They look fabulous!
I employed my Kitchen Aid since my food processor's too small. It's goog to know that next time (there WILL be a next time) I can go low tech and still get sensational results.
Hope whatever's got you distracted from your blog calms down soon; I miss your "voice".
Beautiful presentation! Nothing beats a good chocolate pudding!
Nice job on the pudding. I'm definitely skipping the food processor next time.
Yeah!!! Poot on the food processor owners!! Hahaha :) Lovely silky pudding, Lynne!
I hear you, lady...this summer is really getting the best of me blogging wise!
Ooooh, look at the chocolatey goodness!
Summer's taking me away from blogging, too, and keeping up with what everyone's posting.
Your pudding looks perfect! Your family must have been so happy to have it on the table.
I hope life's bumps smooth out for you soon.
It does look super chocolate-y!!! I want to dive right in :)
